Before Colibri, we used to manage demand in Excel, with the limitations of Excel. Our aim was to professionalise this process and get a global view. We've just integrated Colibri Vision and we're already seeing a positive impact in terms of alignment between departments and the various Group entities. The acceptance of the tool by the sales teams was a very positive point when it was launched, thanks to its ergonomics and ease of use. The reliability of forecasts has improved significantly after a year's use.

We worked on a first POC project on two entities of our group as part of the implementation of a standardised forecasting process in our various subsidiaries. Following this success, the Vision tool was deployed in 4 other subsidiaries. We have developed our skills in demand forecasting, which has allowed us to implement a more robust S&OP process in the relevant subsidiaries. More time is spent on analysis, information sharing and coordination and less on the quality of the calculation (previously done on Excel) and the lack of trust in the data. The time frame for having a forecast is shorter and the approach more structured.

We have multiple countries with no reliable tool to calculate their sales forecast and efficiently manage the warehouse stock levels. This made Colibri the best solution in terms of functionality and flexibility to cover our needs. First of all, the tool offers a user friendly and efficient way of calculating a forecast. Automatic data is fed to the tool which means availability in real time. Colibri contains multiple decision making support functionalities and an easy to use interface for collaborating between multiple departments, which helps in providing more accurate figures. In terms of supply planning as well, great flexibility and functionalities that helped us reduce stock levels and in the same time having better availability.

We were not able to predict customer demand and we did not consult between different departments to agree on a volume. We needed a sales forecasting tool and we chose COLIBRI! The COLIBRI teams are always available to train / accompany us, they adapt at the same time to our pace. They seek to develop with us specific solutions/reports adapted to our group/business.

The deployment of the COLIBRI Sales Forecast Management tool, from mid-2022, has allowed us to delete our multiple Excel files of forecasts by region, and to standardize our forecasting process at the global level, in order to have a more Global vision of our Business. The creation of KPIs shared by the BI tool, now allows us more in-depth analyses on the areas of improvement of our forecasts. And this, keeping in mind the adage: "it is better to be approximately right than precisely false"... This new way of working has allowed the 4 local Demand Planners to save time and efficiency, while creating a working synergy between them. The main users quickly appropriated the tool in just a few monthly forecast cycles, and the full deployment of the collaborative part is planned for this year.

Following the obsolescence of our forecasting tool, a call for tenders was made for which Colibri responded and was selected. We therefore worked to set up the forecast module for the forecasting of our nacelle spare parts. Colibri was set up in a more than satisfactory timeframe given the complexity of Safran's aeronautical data (quantities, exclusions, consumption patterns, demand rate, etc.). The development team was very responsive to our requests and took into account our problems to at least guarantee us an exploitable forecast and be able to benefit from additional elements to better work our forecast.
